See subcatory listing in parent category ($ will pay $)

I need to mod my script so that the ads in subcategories are listed while in a parent category. Selecting a subcategory simply narrows down the results. I am not sure why it doesn't do this by default and I am surprised I haven't found more requests on this board for it. I would think everyone would want it this way.

I'm willing to pay if anyone can help me with this. I'm not talking about just a few bucks. I pay well.

This is such a simple script. I can't imagine that this would be difficult to do.

Can you give more detail on the behaviour you would like? Is there a similar site that does what you want so I can see exactly what you mean?

From what I read, you mean when browsing for ads you want to be able to see the listings for that category and all subcategories at the same time as well. If that's the case, do you need the full details of every listing in that category and subcategories, or just like a summary of all of the listings in that category and then like a tree showing the listing summaries of all the child categories?
