Extra Field numbers showing numerically

Is there a way of listing extra field numbers numerically? Here�s what I want:
0 to 2 months
3 to 5 months
6 to 8 months
etc.
1 year
2 year
etc.
10 years
11 years
etc.

Here�s what I currently have to do to make them appear in this order:
-0 to 2 months
-3 to 5 months
etc.
1 year
2 year
etc.
=10 years
=11 years

The dashes and equal signs look messy when viewed in the dropdown column or when displayed on the viewlistings page. Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

In a situation like that I can not think of a better way of doing it. Since it sorts alphabetically there really isn't a good way. Sorry.
