I have been using 68Classifieds for about 2 years now after extensive research that clearly placed them as "best in category." They don't play games with code access, their product is solidly written, and it is loaded with features.

If you are actively considering a classifieds for your site, I don't feel that you can go wrong with this product relative to any competing ones. I will add, though, that classifieds development itself is a much more specialized category than, say, forum software, and there is less development overall in this sphere at the present time. I would suggest that you spend some time with the demo, and ask in the forums regarding any features (or lack thereof) that you need to know more about. These forums are excellent, and not one of the least benefits of using this software.

I have to add, finally, that I have been using the services of forum moderator Larry Hotchkiss for custom work and so forth from the beginning, and couldn't be happier with all that he has done. Actually, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the private developers listed on http://www.68classifieds.com/developers should you need any of their services.
