Default Showlistings.tpl - Color change on mouse-over

Hi all,

For showlistings.tpl=

I am wondering whether it is possible to highlight the listing my mouse is hovering over, to a color change of say yellow. I have looked at a few possiblilities via google, but they dont seem to work. I know its not essential, just thought it would enhance my users experience.

Many thanks

Jason.

I'm not quite sure what the point would be or how it would help the end user as it is a table and each row is a listing which is pretty straight forward, however if I had to do this my approach would be something like this.

1. Add a border of about 2 pixels to the entire table that doesn't show.
2. Create a new class like listing_border (in the stylesheet) and add it to the <tr class="listing_border"> in the <tr> after the {foreach ...} smarty in the showlistings.tpl file.

That won't "highlight" the listing, but would add a border around the listing when you hover over it. The reason I would do it this way is because the listings themselves will already have different "highlights" already depending on the ad type, such as featured, highlighted, etc.

Hi mike many many thanks for the reply, I take your point about just have the border show up stronger .

Sorry to seem a little thick on this, but do you think you could go in to a little more detail on exactly what to put where in showlistings.tpl

Sorry to be a pain

Jason
