Default show image in showlistings

Hi everyone,

What i am trying (in vain) to acheive is to show the difference between a private seller and a trade seller in the listings.

When the user completes the registration form I have used extra field1 as the business name.,and I have created and uploaded an image to show all listings from this advertiser are business listings.

So I have uploaded an image to my files, and each time the business user places an advert the image shows in the listings, to say they are a business.

I have tried the following but no joy. any help most gratefully received.

Jason

{if $entry.extra1 =="Y"}
<img src="/images/trade-seller-button.jpg">
{/if}

Is that variable available to the template file in which you wish to use it? smarty debug as you have I am sure seen mentioned many times. try just displaying the contents to the display first so you know what you are testing for. you will also then be sure of the syntax.

Did you use SMARTY DEBUG to se if the variable $entry.extra1 even exists in the showlistings template?

You could try to make a simple plugin to return the extrafields you desire.
