How to show the selected field values from previous search form to the next search

After reading the forum, I managed to include the Advance Search Form in the
Search Result Page. Search Result Page shows the Advance Search Form
followed by the Search Result.

Advance Search Form always shows the default field values. But, I would like to
show the field values selected in the previous query, that is, the fields
values that generated the current Search Result. That means, the selected fields shown in the search form in the top of the page correspond to the search result in the bottom of the page.

Please help.

The search variables are contained in the URL so you can alter the script to default to the post/get vars in those fields.
