Default Small Change To Default Template

v4.1.6 Developer

Default Template

www.gunranger.co.uk

I'd like to make the 'Featured Listings' section (at the bottom) of the main page look more symetrical, I.E the 4 coloumns be equally 25% width - currently the width seems to be determined by the length of the short description field.

I think I've narrowed it down to this

Code:
<div id="newlistings">
	<h2>{$smarty.const.LANG_FEATURED_LISTINGS}</h2>
	{feature_listings_horizontal number=8 cols=4 table_attr='width="100%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="3"' td_attr='style="border-top: 1px dashed #999;"' order_by='dateadded' order='desc'}
</div>
But not too sure what to add?

Any time-saving help here apreciated.

Thanks

The above line calls a smarty plugin, which is a standalone widget if you will to display featured listings, so you will need to edit the plugin itself. Its located in the /plugins folder of your site.

Just to help here - your site looks completely broken in the Safari browser. FF looks ok though.

You will need to define some css for the plugin tables being used to make them equal width or hardcode in the widths into the tables being used.

Thanks, odd tho cos the only template change I've made so far is the copyright change.

Well you have changed something to make it break. Most of your page is skewed across to one side.

Yea just installed Safari and saw that, seems to be only on the default template, probably come about when I upgraded (had a few other problems)

Was set to default before the upgrade so I guess some of the files didnt update - copying a clean version of it over now.

Something is amiss because it is not broken on our test system. The 2 column default template renders correctly in Safari. I notice you have changed to the 3 column template and that is displaying correctly.

Yep, I dont have the time to mess with it so I've set it to that for now.

Completly replaced the /templates/default directory with the one from the untouched 4.1.6 zip and cleared templates_c so not sure what is causing the problem.

Thanks for the heads up tho.
