If a user contact another user via pm, the user will get a email notification.
Is it possible to show the subject of the pm in the email notification?

Good point and I misled you in terms of 'debug' here. You need to look at what variables are available to you in private.php file and you will probably need to modify it or write a plugin . You have the title in there so I do not really see why subject would add much value in this case.

Because ive had that people get a email notification with this subject: "You have a new pm on Damiun.nl".
