Default adding upload file to contact seller form

Hi Everyone,

Is it possible to add an extra feild for users to upload a file in the contact seller page ?

so that you would have:

NAME

Many thanks for any help offered.

Have you looked at extrafields? There is an upload option. on the field type I have never tried it so not sure quite what it does. If it does not do this then you would need to create a back-end script to manage uploads. Presumably you would also want the possibility of a download.

I think you need to give more details about what you are actually trying to do and the workflow on input of this file upload and where it goes to and what you will then be doing with it.

Default re script

I have found the following script on the internet. can I use this somehow ?

<form enctype="multipart/form-data" action="uploader.php" method="POST">
<input type="hidden" name="MAX_FILE_SIZE" value="100000" />
Choose a file to upload: <input name="uploadedfile" type="file" /><br />
<input type="submit" value="Upload File" />
</form>

this is not an easy task, there is a lot more involved than just creating a form that has file upload field. The back end script needs to handle the moving of the file after uploaded and then encode it so it can be sent along with the e-mail.

Uploading files are not as simple as just adding an file field. Please have a look at some of these tutorials:

WOW those tutorials blew my mind a bit, as it would be a few weeks before I would get to that part of the website, would anybody be interested in sorting it out for me for money ?

I know I should have a go myself, but looking at those tutorials makes me think i'd make a right balls up of it, and id spend the rest of my life posting threads to get it sorted.

Many many thanks

Jason

What do you want to do with these files? It helps to know the goal.
