Default Animated logo, gif or flv

Hi,

I am trying to make an animated logo,
I made it in after effects and exported it to gif,
but the result quality is bad (the settings are correct),
i was wondering if its possible to include a flv in my site?
And which extension do you recommend?

Dominick

I don't see why you cannot use anything you like if you include the necessary header files and hardcode to call it in the layout.tpl file in the position you want it (excepting code conflicts why would it not work). Its no different than putting say a jquery gallery as we do into the viewlisting file or putting some flash files in there . Why not try first rather than just asking.

Hi,

Thanks,
I tried to include a flv into my header,
that didnt work so using google i searched for different ways to include it (ways that work).
People on other smarty forums told that it isnt wise to include flv in smarty websites, and it was better to use gif,
that was the reason for asking it over here......

The quickest way is to try. Try in your layout.tpl file with the correct includes. It either works or it doesn't. Try putting it in some javascript and then include that file.
