Default Logo Help

I've followed the 68c_v4_mod_template.pdf file to a tee and cant get my logo on site. Here's what I have done:

<div id="logo">
<a href="index.php" title="Project Turtle">
<img src={$smarty.const.URL}/templates/default/images/logo2.png
width=375 height=107</a> </div>

The red were my changes. Am i missunderstanding what he meant by "yoursitename here" for the 1st item? Please let me know what is wrong.

(Yes I uploaded the file)

thanks

delete the contents of the folder /templates_c and see if that helps.

Thanks for the reply. that didn't work, though. Any other ideas?

OK, IO just read through this entire post:
"Trying to change logo to a jpg i had designed, HELPPP"

It is almost the same problem as me. I get the little red square where my image should be. I have the image in the correct folder: /templates/default/images/logo2.png

so what could be the problem??

unfortunatleym the guy in the post above didn't solve it the way everyone told him to do it, so it remained unresolved.

Perhaps if you provided a link to your site where this issue is, it might be easier to offer suggestions. Otherwise, we're all flying blind.

You don't have the closing ">" on the image element.

Here's your code:
HTML Code:
<div id="logo">
   <a href="index.php" title="Project Turtle">
   <img src=http://www.projectturtle.com/templates/default/images/logo2.png
width=375 height=107</a>
</div>
You need to put " />" at the end of the <img code.

Mike, I'm sorry for being stupid. But could you show me exactly where in the code to put it? Because I've tried and it still isn't working. (I would say also that the manual didn't show it either)

I placed a ">" imediately after ...height="107"></a>

Which seemed to be a problem, but no go. Where would the "/>" be? (didn't work after height)

Thanks so much
