Need help with correcting warnings found with validator.w3.org

I am trying to correct the warnings validator.w3.org found on my site.
But i dont understand a lot of them.
I hope people here can help me out.

Error Line 145, Column 92: document type does not allow element "link" here

Any elements that do not have matching closing items need an ending slash. IE:
<br />
<img />
<link href="css/style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

H1 elements need to be the tag then the text:
<h1>Title</h1>

If you want to center it use css.

I found again errors i cannot solve myself:

Line 213, Column > 80: XML Parsing Error: attributes construct error

And a couple errors like this:

And this, but i think this is really weird because the links are created by the 68c. so it has to be correct right?

Correcting this will do almost nothing for your SEO but it will improve the likelihood of less display problems on different browsers.

Again. What did Eric say about elements that need to be closed? It looks like it is this but the validator should be telling you.

CSS validation is important but you don't have to get rid obsessively with every little warning and if you deploy 3rd party code for things like chat modules and mobile phone payment gateways , etc then I doubt it ever will validate 100%. Just get the major errors.
