External listings module - show price and owner

I have tried the external listing module which I find very nice.

1)
But I think there is a problem with the showPrice

I have tried showPrice with both "N" and 'N' (I also tried with show_price) but no go.

Secondly I attempt to show the owner of the listing (the user name) which also was unsuccesfull. How to do that - with above code as an example - please?

Thirdly - I cannot figure out how to convert a listing with � (in its title) correctly in the iframe code. In stead it show up like �†.

On my 68 home page (where the iframe pulls the listings) there are no problems with �....?

4) When I show listings from main category A. How do I include/show all listings from A's sub categories?

Please send an email to support. I think you have a problem actually in your css plugins module which may not be the latest.

If I use the your iframe code as it is by default - no problems.

For
1) I attempt to not to show the price - unsuccesfull. Corrrect code?

3) I am not sure if I understood your question 100% - but the listing with � renders okay by search and category browsing within 68 but not when it is showed by the iframe - then � changes to �†. I am not a coder - but my guess is that the charset needs to be explicitely mentioned somewhere in a file in the external module - in order to render okay in the iframe. But where? or should it be directly in the iframe code? It would be nice to solve this little issue - as it destroys some how the pleasure... :-)

4) Is this possible? Alternatively is it possible to comma separate the categories you like to show like number="2,3,4,5" (shows listings from category id 2, 3, 4 and 5). I tried but it didn't work.

It is because you are entering the wrong command in the search strring

showPrice=N

You do not need quotes as they get included by the custom plugins module. I just tested this and it works.

As for foreign character sets, I have no idea why. It could many reasons. I am not sure what your iframe is doing (how the target site is set up). The plugin only displays what is in the database. If the custom plugins module is displaying correctly then it is down to the iframe/target site.

The parameters accepted by the external listings module are specified in the instructions. You can't collate adverts across subcateogries with it as you don't get this either in 68 classifieds when you click on a parent category (i.e when it has no adverts). The custom plugins module is actually a little more flexible than the external listings module. The full functionality of the former is not included in the latter. We have no plans to change the external listings module to provide it with additional functionality as it covers most eventualities already.

2) Ah - now I understand. The idea is not to show but to limit to a specific user/owner. Though, it would be nice if was possible to show the user name = suggestion

3) still a problem - as there are no problems with � within 68 neither at front nor in the database - nor the target page in generel - it must be some how the chaset definition in the iframe...?!

4) A shame... what else can I say...
