Default Adult or Mature Categories?

Hey gang!

I searched for current posts about my question but couldn't find any answers, hopefully someone can give some assistance.

I'm thinking of adding a personals category but would like to exclude listings from showing up on my homepage. Example: Featured listings, Popular Listings, and New Listings.

Also, I would like it when users click on a personals listing or personals catergory for a disclaimer or some kind of note informing users that they may find mature content.

I can't seem to find any settings for this type of thing in the latest 68Classifieds. If such a setting doesn't exist. Could someone give me a qoute to make this happen, or maybe point me in the right direction?

Thanks

George

Featured listings, Popular Listings, and New Listings are actually plugins, so what you would probably have to do is edit them and alter the DB query so it doesnt pull from your adult categories. The easiest way to accomplish this may vary a bit depending on just how many categories you want to exclude.

example alter the query to something like...

"SELECT id,title,price,section FROM ".PREFIX."listings WHERE display = 'Y' AND expiration > NOW() AND section !='25' ";

As for adding a disclaimer, if you dont have too many adult cats you could probably get by with just using smarty to to display the disclaimer something like this...

{if $body=="categories/browse.tpl" && $categoryid=="25"}
here is my disclaimer
{/if}

where 25 is the category of of your adult category.

Thank you Lhotch for responding and your suggestions!

I can take a look and see if I can figure it out but since I'm a novice at most of this stuff and my time is very limited, would you or maybe someone else reading this post give me an estimate of how much it would cost to have this done? That's of course if I don't figure it out.

Thanks again!

George
