Conflict w IE 7 and 8

Please describe in detail the issue you are having:

I just noticed a problem with IE v8 and a client reported the same problem with v7.
(also, separate issue, another client claimed receiving registration confirmation email but cant log in afterward.)

There seems to be a conflict with IE. No problems with Firefox as of now.

Note: I have set the logo to resize to 75% using width="75%" in the specific logo div in layout.tpl
will test to see if this is the cause.

AAARGH!!!!

now my domain comes in with a blank page! ALL WHITE!!!

I'm about to have a nervous breakdown!

talking with my hosting company to see what is happening. I don't like updating the software! SO MANY HEADACHES.

But this happened all of a sudden. everything was working fine just a minute ago.

see.. im still getting some errors in IE8.

some images that i places in the HOME page through the page editor are not being displayed in IE8.

I was able to resolve the issue with the logo as shown in the images above. I resized the logo, uploaded the new image and did not edit the logo width in layout.tpl

for some reason I havent been able to solve the other images.

I am using tinymce 1.1 module for the edits. Might this have something to do w it?
(revision = tried regular HTML code w/o tinymce module. still no success in IE8. the images dont show, though they try to load)
