I am running free listings and offering Featured, highlighted and bold at an optional fee. If I post an ad for free (30 days) and then choose to upgrade a day later paying for featured, 30 days is tacked on to the original listing. This is of course letting someone run a featured ad for 60 days and only paying for a 30 days. Is there a way to reset the time on the ad when someone upgrades? I am running 4.1.6 and fluid style 2 templates.

No that is the way it is designed. Any extra options are added at the time of purchase.

Look at the flip side of the coin, if they upgrade a 30 day with 3 days left they would be paying full price for a featured ad for 3 days if the duration wasnt extended.

Simplest solution is just dont let people upgrade ads.

I have designed a 30 days Free Package without options (Featured, highlighted or bold) when user renewal the Ad the system gives it another 30 days to the expiration date:

Original Post:
Date Added Expiration
10.05.2009 11.04.2009

After Renewal
Date Added Expiration
10.05.2099 12.04.2009

And this woks perfect.

And I have a 30 days paid package which includes Featured, highlighted and something else (homepage gallery) and I have the same like Slappy5150. My question is: Is there an easer way the paid package has the same behavior that the Free Package?

Not sure I follow exactly. Are you wanting to just auto include the extra options they originally choose? Or I am totally missing it.

yes, just auto include the extra options. The extra options are $0.00 because they are included in the package. So the user easily let the option "Yes $0.00"

Also I have removed "No Thanks" from the tpls.
