On the Home page of the purple template there is a purple bar that says "Browse Categories" but no categories show here and it is not clickable. I need to either have the categories show here or delete that purple (browse) bar. Isn't it redundant to have both the browse nav button and that browse bar (on the home page)? I am missing something here because I don't understand the logic of this.

But, for my question: on the home page, how to either delete that purple browse bar or get the categories to show.

I am sorry I am not sure I am understanding. Do you have a link where I can see this?

If you do not want the categories to show on the home page then you need to edit the home.tpl file in the purple template folder. You can then remove the code you do not want to show. I am assuming here that you have categories already set up.
