Default Subscription payments via PayPal - solved!

Cannot understand why I haven't read about this before but these are the instructions from PayPal to create a subscription button for your site. It can be customized easily to allow recurring payments either weekly, monthly or yearly. You can even select a free or reduced rate trial period for your customers.

How do I begin accepting subscriptions on my website?

You can add a ‘Subscribe’ button to your website if you want to charge customers on a regular basis, e.g. for membership fees or subscriptions for services such as website hosting, online magazines or access to password protected sites. To begin accepting subscriptions you must first add a button to your website.

To add a subscription button to your website follow these steps:
  1. Log in to your PayPal account at Welcome - PayPal
  2. Click ‘Profile’ at the top of the page
  3. Click ‘Create New Button’ under ‘Selling Preferences’
  4. Select ‘Subscriptions and recurring billing’ in the Accept payments for drop-down menu and fill in all required fields
  5. Select Step 2 and Step 3 for additional features
  6. Click ‘Create Button’
  7. Click ‘Select Code’ to select the button code
  8. Copy the HTML code for your button and paste it into the HTML code for your website

If you would like to cancel subscriptions for one or more of your subscribers follow these steps:
  1. Log in to your account at Welcome - PayPal
  2. Click 'History' found towards the top of the page
  3. Choose 'Subscriptions' from the 'Show' drop-down menu
  4. Check the 'From' box and change date back two years (or more if needed)
  5. Click 'Search'
  6. To view the details of a specific 'Subscription Creation', click 'Details' in the Details column
  7. At the bottom of this page, click 'Cancel Subscription'. Please note, that you can use Mass Cancellation to cancel a group of your subscribers at once by clicking 'Cancel several subscribers'
  8. On the confirmation page, click 'Cancel Subscription' again
