limit number of subcategorie per line

Hello there,

I am trying to get a browse.tpl page with all the sub-categories under each respective category.
As for each categorie there is a lot of sub-categories, I would like to display these sub-categories on different lines and for exemple limit at 5 subcategories per line.

I suppose I have probably to change something in includes/classes/kernel/Category.php but where?
