Hi Everyone,

It has been a long time since i last posted.... feel like i'm at confession...

Anyway, I just sold a freind on 68 becasue I told him it can do anything and now I can't figure out how to do what he wants.... maybe i'm just dense..

Basically he wants a subscription based site. Visitors can view limited info on posting but not contact anyone. You have to register (and pay) to be able to both post ads and view complete ad and contact the poster. So I need to charge users to be registered... it would be niceto charge for different user groups so you can pay to be able to just contact poster or pay to contact AND post your own ad.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You edit user groups to control the fields and most of the things a user can see. In the latest version of 68C you can also create ad packages only visible/usable by certain user groups. So to do what you want you would have a very restrictive "registered user" and then another user group for people who have purchased a Subscription.

The down side is with the base 68C there is no automated way to collect payment for a membership/subscription and automatically change their user group. This is exactly why I created my membershipmodule, read more in the thread link below.
