Search Subscription addon? or Feature?

I have been looking for a Classifieds Script and have narrowed it down to 68C and Noah's Classifieds. One feature that Noah's has is the capability for a user to specify a search and then have that search look for matches as new items are added and then email the user when a possible match is found. For example the user is looking for a Blue, 2006 Viper. None are found on the site but when a match is added in the future he will be automatically emailed that a new match was found. I did not see this feature in 68C however Noah's Classified has this. The search and the notifications is there in the code, and a CRON job could initiate a search per previous entries, or every time a new Ad is entered.
Does anybody know if this is possible???

Edited: I looked again apparently the Noah system only allows you to be notified when additions to a specific Category are made. That being said what I described above is what I am looking for, but just having the ability to have a user notified of new additions to a category woulds be OK.

It's not possible to save a search in 68 Classifieds. However, you can subscribe to an RSS feed per category.

So, to extend your example, if I browsed to the Dodge >> Viper category and only saw red ones, I could subscribe to the Viper RSS feed and be sent updates to that category.

It's not quite as explicit as a saved search but it provides a visitor the ability to be updated on new listings.

Is it possible to set up an Auto Notify for new entries to a Category? The problem with RSS is most people have no idea what RSS is or how to subscribe to one.
