Display Extra Field in <TITLE>

Hi there,

Just wondered whether it is possible to add on or more of the parent or child extra fields with in the <TITLE> tag EG: for example if you had a drop down field with say 'for sale' or 'wanted' as an option.

so that the <TITLE> tag could read 'car for sale' or 'car wanted' so that it would improve search results for people typing in those requirements.

Just a thought

Thats a very nice idea. I wanted to add the drop down anyway as my customers will want FOR SALE, WANTED or TRADE.

look at your layout.tpl and you can see there is a smarty variable that represents the title. The contents of that variable will change based on the page your on. Altering the actual contents can get a little tricky but if you just want to append or prepend data then simply take any other smarty variable thats available on your given page and play that smarty var before or after the title var.....

ie...

{$title}{myvar}
