Hi,

How do I remove states completely? I dont see a need for them.

I know I can remove each state in the backend but how would I remove the input option for states?

Or can I have it as an input box where they can type their state/town/county ?

Keep in mind some payment provides MAY need/want that info. You will have to determine if thats the case for you.

You can start by going through admin and changing registration and search settings, then user groups and toggle the state field.

Then any remaining places the field shows up you will have to edit the template and comment out the field.

SO not an easy thing at all!

The only other option is to leave them, then in my UK installation, sit and input all the UK Counties? Then do a find/replace through the language files to replace state with county?
