Default Modify 68 classifieds so users can submit trade offers

I want to make some modifications so users can submit trade offers and the ad owner can accept or decline these offers.

I was thinking about modifying the private message function so users can submit swap offers. Then to give the ad owner added functionality to his messages. Besides the "reply", "delete", to also add "Accept", or "Decline". Each one just reply to the sender that their message was accepted or declined. If it was accepted it deactivates the ad.

I'm sorry if this seems confusing. But does anyone have a better way to do this?

From what you describe I think that could work. I would just try and make sure you can validate what they agreed to swap for. In case complaints arise later.

And a way for the seller to reactivate their ad. I can see someone making a greate offer on something hoping the seller will accept it and then the ad being deactivated only for the offerer to back out.
