Default external url not showing

In one of my payment packages I have chekced off the box to Allow External URL. When posting a listing the lister has a place to type in that url, but it does not actually show up on their listing. How do I get their url to show up on their listing...this is a selling point to get the higher priced listing package.

Thanks,
Adam

How do I do this? I do not see that option anywhere.

I went to User Groups then clicked to modify my Registered Users, but there is no option to show that field.

Plus, I only want the people who have signed up for that specific payment package to be able to show thier url.

You're right. There isn't a setting within the user groups regarding the viewing of an external URL field in a listing.

This means that something else is happening. A link to your site might be helpful.

Thanks...

Here you go:
RENTifieds

If you'd like to post a test ad go ahead...it's the platinum package and coupon code: rent1234

But right now there are about 7 listings and most of them should have a link back to their site...

Go into admin and switch to the default template and if the field appears then its a problem at the template level.

Apparently the template that you purchased either doesn't include that field in your listings or you have modified it so that it doesn't show that field. Also as an FYI, your listing pictures show in a direct link to the picture in the same window, therefore your end user has no way of getting back to the listing unless they use their back button within their browser. Generally, that's is NOT a good thing.

Thanks...

That seems to be the problem...when I switched back to default theme it worked fine.

I'll contact the theme designer...

From what I can see you do not have the scripts folder installed which is included in the template download. You need to upload it so you have these files.

http://www.rentifieds.com/templates/...ipts/layout.js
http://www.rentifieds.com/templates/...ts/lightbox.js
http://www.rentifieds.com/templates/...ts/mootools.js

You may also like to adjust the height variable in the css style file for your featured/latest listings - it is cutting due to the unusually long titles you are allowing. We recommend 50 characters or so.
