I've started with a clean install of V4.09 dev. I followed all the instructions and deleted the setup folder.

When I put my domain name in it always defaults to www.mydomain.com/setup/

the message below states:
Not Found

The requested URL /setup/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/2.2.9 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.9 OpenSSL/0.9.8b DAV/2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 PHP/5.2.6 Server at www.xxxxxxx.com Port 80

What am I doing wrong. PLease help.

one of the errors is an SSL error, not sure why you are seeing that. Try typing out the whole domain including the http://mydomain.com/

Hello Larry, unfortunately that doesn't do the trick. I went from shared hosting to a dedicated server and thought everything was set up right.

THe install went smooth and I deleted the set up folder and changed the permissions back to 644 on the connections folder.

I have no idea why it always defaults to http://www.mydomain.com/setup/
it is the same if I enter http://mydomain.com/setup/

during the install, when you put in the domain/path to your classifieds you didnt put/setup at the end did you?

That is a good question. I don't remember, but I'm sure I didn't put /setup in the path.

I used whatever it defaulted to or alternatively I just entered my domain name. Maybe I should run the install again since I can't remember.

Is there any other way to troubleshot my problem or should I reinstall?

you can use phpmyadmin and look at the table that holds the data and edit it there if needbe.

Where and how would I use phpmyadmin? through the admin panel? I have never used it and have no clue.

it would be part of your hosting and if your on a dedicated server you may not even have it every host is different.

The other alternative would be to connect to your server via telnet or SSH with a text session and use the mysql command line tool, but your going to have to read up on that if your not familiar with its commands and such.

Or just reinstall.

if you go to yoursite.com/administration does it still go back to /setup?

it does not. it gives me a fatal error message instead.
