I can't see any extra field in the advanced search (local or internet)

I made a new fresh install and same thing

I create a new single line text and it appear at step 3 but not in advanced search.

I look at database and everything looks ok.

Extra fields are bound to categories and since different categories can have different extra fields you will not have the ability to search on an extra field unless a category is chosen in the search 1st. The extra field must also be set as searchable when created.

Hello Larry,

I put Yes to Field searchable and all the categories are bound with this field but no extra field appear in advanced search and no child field appear in step3 (place an ad).

Very weird.

Also I used another template to be sure that the template file does not interact with.

Are you selecting a category in the advanced search? Thats the only way you are going to get the extra fields to appear on the advanced search page.?

The parent drop down would have to be selected first then the child will load. The child is dependent on which parent is selected.

I choose parent field like the demo "Kawasaki" but the "Model Field" does not appear. I used exactly the same "Field Name" text.
