Hi,

Having problems uploading item images and receiving the following error.

Extension is not allowed!

Filename: compact_disc.gif
Only the following file extensions are allowed: .GIF, .gif, .jpg, .JPG, .JPEG, .BMP, .PNG
Please select another file and try again.
Please correct and try again

The image, obviously, has the correct extension and the image I am trying to upload is only 26Kb so size isn't an issue.

Any suggestions on what the problem may be?

Hi,

Inside the administration can you remove the period in front of the extension. So instead of .GIF it is just GIF

Hi,
No luck I'm afraid.

If I upload a gif image I get a blank page, if I upload a jpg image I get the error again:

Extension is not allowed!

Hi again,

I think the problem may be the GD package installed incorrectly on the server. Did a phpinfo an it seems as though jpg support wasn't included in the install, but I also think the install may be corrupt.

Will do a reinstall and get back to you with the results.
