Default payment provider question

What version of 68 Classifieds are you running?
v4.2.1 Developer

What template are you using?
Sigma

Please describe in detail the issue you are having:

What will happen when I delete a Payment Provider in the administration area?
Can I install/restore it later if needed?

Thank you for reply

Not quite sure I understand your question as there is no "delete" for a payment provider in the administration. There is only active and inactive which are pretty self-explanatory.

If you mean actually delete it from the server, well if you delete it then it's gone unless you upload it again from your original download.

If you are referring to the module (templatecodes) - Yes - you can deactivate it and then if you want it back you can reactivate it. You do not need to delete it.

Just to be sure that we speak about the same thing.....
See enclosed picture in the zip file

If I push the red cross button it says:

"Are you sure you want to delete this record? It can not be undone!

Yes, we are talking about the same thing. The warning is because it is listed in the db (that's why it shows in the list) and if you have entered information for that gateway, that information is also stored in the db. If you delete it, it removes all entries for that gateway in the db tables.

This does not actually delete the gateway (folder/directory) that is on the server. If you do delete the gateway, it will do as it says and delete all information for that gateway in the database. If you click the "regenerate" button in that same page, it will then magically show back up (of course if you had any data entered for it previously, that information would be gone).

Quite frankly, I don't really understand why it has the option to "delete" it. If it's not active it's not going to show anywhere except in the admin page that you are looking at. There is NO advantage to deleting it, so why would you want to?

Mike,

Thank you for your explanation. I just like to know and understand the functionality of C68. A lot is clear immediately, but this specific thing was a big question mark for me.

Thank you

Not a problem. That's what the forums are for.

I apologize for possibly leading you astray on my first post, I forgot it actually does say, "delete"!
