Question How to Add Product Feeds to Listings?

What version of 68 Classifieds are you running?
v4.1.10 Developer

What template are you using?
Purple

Please describe in detail the issue you are having:

Hi,

I am in the process of building a shopping directory where each business has its own listing with an affiliate link etc.

What im trying to do now is add a shopping product feed to each listing, the available code i have is either PHP or Javascript. I cant see an easy way to do it. What i have done so far is is create a multi line extra field and surpressed it from being shown by default in the listing and called it in view listing with the code below.

{get_extra_field id=$view fid=5}

This works fine showing whatever text you input into the field via admin, but if i add the Javascript or PHP code into this extra field it outputs it as text instead of executing the code.

Am i missing something? I need the extra field for each listing as the shop feed is different for each business, how can i get it to execute the code instead of just printing it??

Thanks for any guidance here, im totally stumped..

Mark

Hi Mark -
I can't envision a way for the PHP code to work by adding it to an extra field.

Regarding the Javascript code only:
- have you added the <script> tag in the "Allowed HTML Tags" field in administration? (Settings >> Settings >> Checkout Settings)

Hi Blair,

Thanks for your reply. I just tried that, it still prints it as text... any other ideas?

I just remembered......
There's an 'htmlentities' function applied to the extra fields value. You should comment that out.
Sorry but I can't remember which file it's in at the moment

I may have an epiphany in a few minutes. I'll post back up when/if I do
