Default Absolute path to images

V4.1.6 Designer

I am inserting the absolute path in the DB.

What files should I manipulate to get the absolute path to images?

Some client store pictures on their own server so I need an absolute path.

Any help??

Why would you be doing this rather than simply uploading the photos themselves? I am lost as to why you want to do this. Besides you will make so many link outs that I doubt your site will rank for anything if it that is important to you.

Why are you also running 4.1.6? Especially since you have the Designer version, you couldn't have modified any core ".php" files. There are many fixes from your version to the current version 4.2.1.

I have two dealerships that feed a file to me each day.

They have hundreds of cars between them.

It would be almost impossible to to upload each car every day as they are constantly selling cars and their inventory changes.

So I figured the smaller dealers that use the site will still upload the image locally but the database will contain an absolute path to the manual uploads as well.

I am worried about installing the newest version because I don't know how it will affect all the changes I have made.

My site ranking is very important to me and I cant seem to get a site map generated from http://www.xml-sitemaps[.]com - It only picks up the home page. I could use some help with that if anyone has suggestions.

Is anyone for hire here on a consulting basis?
