Default Allowing script in ad descriptions

What version of 68 Classifieds are you running?
Example: V4.1.6 Designer

[btemplate sea breeze[/b]

Please describe in detail the issue you are having:

Currently all tags not specified in the allowed tags section are being stripped. Wondering how to add the scripts tag so scripts such as google ads (or advertisers) can run there. I read the doc and tried adding the <script> <html> tags to the allowed tags but that didn't work. Any ideas or suggestions

Thanks
Mike

A script isn't going to run from there as it is stored in the database table. Why would you want a Google ad within the description of an ad?

You would either need to create a module or place your script in the viewlisting(2).tpl file.

I was just using google ad as an example of the type of script code that I was hoping to allow.

Thanks for the response.

Your just asking for trouble if you start allowing people to put scripts in there.

Just put them in the template files that you wish them to appear on into the layout.tpl file if you wish them to appear on every template.

Default Figured it out

If I place the classifieds from the admin I can get script to work. So that works ok for what I need.

Thanks for the help.

I agree that would not be a good idea and I wasn't wanting to allow scripts for all users just as admin. For example. I want to create individual ads from affilates promo's. The script would all me to place a link in the ad to say "xxx.com" but it would not take the script which contained my referral info. But I was able to create the ad then edit it as admin and get the scripts to work.

That was my reasoning.

You can change your allowed html settings in the admin -> settings -> checkout settings:
Checkout Settings - 68 Classifieds

Look for "Allowed HTML Tags".

Just be careful what you allow or you could allow them to mess your site up.
