Look at the purple or 3 column template. It is the same principle. The reason this makes sense is if an upgrade changes the default template it does not have to be updated in two places. You have the choice as Larry points out to copy all those files from default into your template directory should you wish. I would not recommend that unless you are modifying a file. Then you know it has been modified because it is in your new template directory. Its personal choice.

And just to add to this thread be carefull with the editor you are using to edit your templates. In this case a problem occured because the editor in use converted double quotes in the smarty variable to load the video into HTML entities which of course doesnt fly with smarty.
