Hi,

If the forum you want to link from is car related, then I suggest you create a page on your site that has to do with cars and link to that page. Also, your post on that forum should be relevant to the conversation and actually provide benefit to its readers, maybe that way you won't be banned or have your post removed.

Also, for your anchor text, instead of "local classifieds in Flagstaff Arizona":

The word local really doesn't do anything to benefit you. I would either just use "Flagstaff Arizona Classifieds" or you may even consider "Flagstaff Arizona Car Classifieds". Which one you use depends on how competitive the keywords are in your area. If the term Classifieds is not that competitive in Flagstaff I would use the first, more general one. But if you have a lot of competition I would use the second.

That's my take on the subject. Keep in mind that I'm not an expert, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

That is hilarious!!!

As for the question some forums are set up so if you change your signature it updates on all old posts as well. I know vbulletin does this. I would imagine if it did this then it would help but I also think by posting new threads would be beneficial as well. Especially to get traffic from other users from the forums.
