Default Keywords not in Body of Page

Hi,
I've heard that Google can penalize pages that have meta keywords which do not appear in the body of the page, is this true?
If so do you recomend just adding a couple on sentences at the bottom of the page to fix this or is there a better solution?
Thanks,
Nick

Embed them liberally in the body of the text if you can. Do not spam them but keep them at about 5-8% keyword density.

Just ignore the "meta keywords" completely, dont waste your time on it. It is absolutely useless especially for G, Y, and M.

Yes - he is correct. Search engines do not appear to take much note of meta keywords. I assume however having seen your site that you actually mean putting phrases and words which appear in your page titles and descriptions in the text. If so then spread them liberally. For example if your page title is

Big trucks and agricultural machinery

Then it will do no harm (and in fact good) that phrases like 'Big Trucks' and agricultural machinery' appear a few times on your page. Keep it natural though and put yourself in the position of a visitor - he does not want to see Big Trucks mentioned 50 times in three paragraphs of text nor does he want to see the phrase out of context. Quality content with good context is what you should be aiming for.
