Thread drift but

You can change the width of the template by changing 3 widths in the css and preferably one image needs to be rescaled to the desired width - in the scheme of customization this hardly a big deal. You will only do this if you don't want to scroll a bit horizontally on a small screen.

Here they are

#header {
width: Xpx;
margin: 0 auto 10px auto;
height: 100px;
}

.page {
width: Xpx;
margin: 0 auto 10px auto;
text-align: left;
clear: both;
}

.col_left_content {
float: left;
width: Ypx;
position: relative;
left: 20px;
}

Image to rescale = layout_shape.gif

if you wish to narrow the columns then you can do that too. Two numbers to change. You can even delete a column if you wish but then you will not be able to use templatezones. That is not what this thread is about. So back to the plot.

And that is the problem Gary. You don't see why it would. Look at the css. If I put an image in which does not take account of the container it sits in and the related images like the tabs in that container then it is not going to do what you want it to. Spend some time looking at the code and adjusting things - see what the css code does when you change a number - it is not blogger. Change a value and then refresh.

In the css and even in the instructions.txt it says logo set for 80px height and width upto 320px . How much clearer can we make it.

#logo {
background: url(../../../images/logo.gif) no-repeat;
height: 80px;
width: 320px;
float: left;
margin: 10px 0 10px 15px;
padding: 0;
color: #fff;
text-align: left;
}

Thanks Guys,

I am not trying to be funny with anyone....honestly!

I have hit a real mental block, silly I know but my brain just isnt working so I am going to take a break for a while.

If any of you can tel me what to change to fix the display issue on uk.magicfreeads.com that would be appreciated.

Had a lot on the last few days, whilst trying to make as much progress with this as possible. Not a good combination!

Gary

I just did Gary. Its above. That will allow you to change the width. You may then need to play around a bit with the numbers, margins and padding to get the look you want but that is the core of it. The logo needs to be of the required size or you will need to adjust more css. Send me your logo at support and I will try to adjust the header for you so it fits.
