Default Categories to be listed in a list menu rather that in a text - 09-26-2006, 04:19 PM

I am looking to place all the categories and sub categories in a list menu because we have huge sub categories and it looks untidy in text format.

Has anyone done this successfully yet?

Regards

Stuart

Certainly have

There are several ways to do it

Are you wanting all categories and sub-categories in the one list or have a list of main categories and upon selection another list is created?

hi Maffo, thanks for the reply

All I need is for the sub categories of the selceted category to be shown in a list and then another list box to the right of it to chose the area to which to search from.

I have created an example in image format below so you can see how I'd like to do it.

Thanks for the quick response.

Regards

Stuart

And are you wanting these lists on all pages or just on a certain page?

I would therefore choose to put these on your layout.tpl page and have them display on each page.

Do you have a basic layout screen shot you can send me?
