Categories to be listed in a list menu rather that in a text
I am looking to place all the categories and sub categories in a list menu because we have huge sub categories and it looks untidy in text format.
Has anyone done this successfully yet? Regards Stuart |
Certainly have
There are several ways to do it Are you wanting all categories and sub-categories in the one list or have a list of main categories and upon selection another list is created? |
hi Maffo, thanks for the reply
All I need is for the sub categories of the selceted category to be shown in a list and then another list box to the right of it to chose the area to which to search from. I have created an example in image format below so you can see how I'd like to do it. Thanks for the quick response. Regards Stuart |
And are you wanting these lists on all pages or just on a certain page?
|
Hi Maffo
I want these on all category and sub category pages if possible. Regards Stuart |
I would therefore choose to put these on your layout.tpl page and have them display on each page.
Do you have a basic layout screen shot you can send me? |
Your a star, thanks so much for you help. Image below.
Regards Stuart |
I would suggest placing the search dropdowns in side the dark blue seach bar you have. I imagine this be displayed on all pages yes?
Site looks great by the way |
Hi Maffo
The search drop down will probably be the next question I ask! The search will be available on all pages. Regards Stuart |
