Some questions

Hi there.

I am about to purchase the developer-kit but I have som questions:

1. How much server space is needed and can you estimate how much server space
100 new ads with 1 picture will need? I am about to chose between som web-hosts and
the best one have the smallest server space.

2. How easy is it to change the standard template? I have looked at it and I want
to make several changes. For example, I want to remove the whole Navigation field to the left and move the "middle section" more to the left.

3. How does the activation work? I want to use a company that provides pay-solutions by phone and text messages. How do I connect this to the Classified? The ad will not be activated until the customer have paid for it but how does that work?

4. In the standard script, the front page shows Featured Listings. Is it easy to change that so that the latest ads will show up there instead?

Hi Nick,

1. We setup our hosted customers with:
50 MB of disk space
200 MB of traffic monthly


Then make adjustments if necessary.

2. Very easy as long as you know html. You can change it to look any way you wish.

3. You would probably have to add their code and create a new gateway. Currently most people use Paypal, Authorize.net, or paymate.

4. Yes you can change this. It comes from a custom plugin and can easily be changed to latest ads.

Thanks for your quick answers. The more I look at the script and at this forum, the more convinced I get. I am now sure that 68classifieds is the one I want.
As soon as I get everything in order with the webhotel I am about to use, I will order it.
I think I have all the information I need for now.
