I really like the script but have a few questions?
1) Is the script not SEO friendly by default? I seem to not find anything about that in the feature list? 2) Is it possible to import listing from other scripts such as xzero for example? 3) Am I missing something or is there no way a user can browse categories of a specific region/location like on craigslist, etc.?? |

Hi,
Sorry for the delay I missed your post. 1) Is the script not SEO friendly by default? I seem to not find anything about that in the feature list? By default it generates query strings for example: yoursite.com/viewlisting.php?view=1 With the module it changes it to: yoursite.com/listing/1/the-ad-title.html 2) Is it possible to import listing from other scripts such as xzero for example? Not sure on this. I haven't looked inside how they store things in the database. I am sure it could be possible. 3) Am I missing something or is there no way a user can browse categories of a specific region/location like on craigslist, etc.?? You can set up categories any way you want and could do: US / North Carolina / Charlotte / category It is really left up to you on how you want to create the category structure.

Hey suzkaw thanks for your reply...
1)When you say with the module do you mean its not a basic feature? 2)Could you verify this? 3) If I use the categories for regions/locations, then where would the user select type of advert? |

There is no built in way to do imports from other scripts so this would be a manual process OR you would need to write a script to do the conversion for you. Depending on the source database table layouts etc, this can be a very complex procedure. Quote:
Then when you are all done you define your ad packages. These packages specify how many images (if any), length of description field in characters and what category the ad package is good for. When a user places an ad, they are first asked to pick a category and after they pick a category they are presented with a list of availabel packages. |
