Default Browse by State and Ion Cube questions

Hi, I have a couple of questions about your product.

First, and I hope this makes some amount of sense...:

My target clients are geographically distributed, one of the draws I would like to be able to pitch is the ability to browse by state as well as category.

My idea is that you land on the front end and there is a list of states, click on one of the states and it will open a new page were the categories are shown for that state only (Similar to using the "Search" option, but set up as links rather than having to take that step.). Is there a setting in your program that would make that possible?

Second: I'm hosted on 1&1. I read that some providers balk at use of the Ioncube Loader. Has there been any reports that 1&1 supports it?

Hi Wylie,

For the first one you may want to look at this module:
http://www.classified-software.co.uk...4/prod_11.html

But with the developer edition and some php knowledge you can transform it any way you wish.

For #2 I don't think you will have a problem with 1&1. I am going off memory which is a little hazy at times but I think we have customers using them.

Thanks for the response. Actually, that raises another question:

I Have zero PHP skills, just now learning basic HTML as a matter of fact. The developer edition might be more than I can handle (or is appropriate for my skill level). Do the mods work with the less powerful version? Also new templates? Or will I need the developer for either?

Everything will work fine with the Designer edition and you can even purchase the Developer edition and just not touch the php files until a later point when you want to add something. That is totally up to you.

My site is hosted with 1and1 and I'm having issues with ioncube. I have spent hours researching this but no dice.

I loaded the ioncube loader helper and it tells me I've loaded it successfully.

However, when I login to the administration section, the only thing that appears is this error:

Site error: the file /homepages/6/d153024204/htdocs/scooter/administration/includes/init.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.

Anyone have any advice?

The location/listing filter within templatecodes basically provides the type of functionality you are looking for. You can see it on our demo site htpp://demo2.templatecodes.com or My Classifieds Website
