Default SEO and a few other modification questions

Hi, I'm contemplating purchasing 68 Classifieds for a car sales site I'm currently setting up. I have a few questions though:

1. Can I change the content on the page to help with SEO activities i.e. headings, copy, H1 tags etc?

2. Can I modify the template on the designer edition in any which way I want? If so, how does the initial template look and how would I change that i.e. in photoshop, css etc

3. Can I have in-between pages where I can add keywords and phrases to the page content and meta tags i.e. If the user clicks on a certain category then there would be an intro the next page they see as well as the results for that category.

Thanks for any help you can give... I'm really interested in your product but just need to make sure it's the right thing for me and the most important aspect of this is to make sure I get noticed in search engines and can adapt the site accordingly.

Hi,

I am really sorry and embarrassed I missed this post.

Yes you can do this.

Yes you can edit it any way you wish. It comes with all the files except a photoshop file. The default design can be seen here: http://demo.68classifieds.com/index....mplate=default

Not sure if I understand this. Can you try to re-clarify?

No worries, it's not an urgent project - well, it will be soon but not yet

For an example I have cars for sale, so maybe VW, Ford, and GM - What I'd potentially like is to have splash pages for each of the car makes and then list all the cars for sale by that car make. Does that make sense? It sounds right in my head but when I put in writing it sounds more complex than it needs to be!

Check out the demo and create a category. It allows you to have an image and category description which I think is what you are after.

Hi, yes that's sort of it - I was hoping I could make it look a bit different and not so plain but I presume I can edit the page style, as I asked in my first post.

Currently the category display is all handled by a single script and the category names etc are simply passed to the template and displayed with their associated images and text.

If you wanted to get more creative you would have to use smarty logic to determine what category was being viewed and selectively display a section of template for just that category.

You would in essence have a series of....

{if category == VW}
display VW specific details here.
{elseif category == GM}
display gm scpecific info here.
{/if}

Thanks for this - I'll have to get my Techy head, which is not very good, and it's late so it's definitely not very good at the moment.
