Question Dubts about adsense ads insertion and rss

Hello,

I am very interested to obtain this script, but I have some questions before:

a) Is it possible to insert any type of adsense advertisements?
b) is it possible to obtain announces by rss mode from another sites and show them at 68classifieds by xml?, I mean: I want to combine rss announces from other sites mixed with own announces.

Also:

May I have my site in multiple languages?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Yes - example - property in france
I do not see why not but why would you not want to generate your own RSS feeds. I generate many RSS feeds based on category and advertiser. It may be different however if you mean you want to enter other site's RSS feeds into your database - but displaying them is possible.
I think so - you can certainly have the site in different languages.

Great product - go for it.

I don't want to generate own rss because it is not my aim in this moment. I just want to fill up my site very fast with another rss announces...it is easier and faster.

In fact, I want this:

www.trovit.com

But i need to kwow if I can use xml with such script, just to format other's rss announces. U know what I say

Thanks

Any sort of import from another site will need custom code to get into your site. Its a big project.

Yes it is, that's why I need to know if it is possible to do something like trovit using as a base this script .

68C is not designed by default to take inbound feeds.

No 2 classified sites or feeds are the same. For one thing 68C ads are linked to a user. If you grab ads from a feed, what user will they be tied to? How do people visiting your site contact the user through your site?

All of the custom imports I have created where done knowing the specifi details about the source site feed and the destination 68C site. Field differences need to be mapped out and accounted for etc.

Can it be done? YES. Is it easy? No.

It is an interesting approach and one which could be used successfully to populate a site quickly. Looking through the site you mention it is clear that it is very well put together. However, a question keeps popping up for me and that is one of heavily duplicated content. This will impact the sites performance with the search engines. Especially once they get their teeth into it and as the flags get raised they will be looked at even more closely. In the past I had a site with too much duplicate content and it got penalized.

It is not fiction. Whole pages were dropped out of the index and increasingly quickly. It started with just one or two pages with duplication and I got away with it, then 5 then 10 then 100. Suddenly the guillotine fell and swiftly. It is the same thing with search pages which just present the same data but in a different way. The search engines are becoming increasingly sophisticated at detecting the same content in different orders or merged into other text. It would be interesting to look at trouvit with copyscape. That would show the degree of duplication. If copyscape can do it, sometimes getting down to a short paragraph then the major search engines will have no difficulty at all.

The reason this happens is because more and more people are latching onto feeds from the big boys and using them to populate your site. Thats really not what these feeds were designed for.

There are basically only a couple reasons why you would want to mass import ads from another site.

One is because you have a partnership with that site. For example I have a couple clients that run 68C sites and in turn they have clients who have a lot of ads that they want to keep current on the 68C site without manual intervention. All imported ads are tied to a 68C user and that user can be contacted via the 68C site.

The other reason, and why the big search engines are cracking down, is because people are simply creating sites based on actual data collected (or stolen from other sites) to generate trafic in the hopes of drumming up some ad dollars. These sites will have no long term, dedicated user base because they in essence server no value to anyone but the site owner.

Invest in Oodle or Vast - they do this successfully already.
