I'm working on a client site (a small weekly newspaper) and I need a system that meets the following requirements:
Requirements: Most classified ads are free Ability to display photos Charge for only certain categories - Per-line (or possible other method of measuring length) Expiration Date on all ads - 2 weeks to begin - This date should be able to be changed after launch Two Levels of Categories - New categories and sub categories should be able to be created after launch Login required to post ads. - Associated with email address - Associate all ads with username (at least on the back-end) - Need full-add sent to or available to print staff (Print ads only) Would Be Nice Charge for Photographs Multiple Photos Info about print Display Ads Send to a friend feature Spell/Grammar check Word filter (for inappropriate language) System for flagging inappropriate content Can any one tell me if 68 Classifieds can meet these requirements? Thanks, Noah Brimhall |

My friend you can do all of that with a 68 package, the only thing missing from your list that 68 doesnt include is the spell check.
As for the price per line, well this all depends on the browser your using and whether you shrink or expand the window. However you can set up listing packages to allow for certain amount of characters. I imagine you have probably posted this thread on a few classified ads sites. I would 100% give this one my backing. I would also push the boat out and opt for the developer version, for the extra money you have the ability to so much more than with the designer version.

I would give 68 classifieds a try. It may not meet every requirement you have, but I couldn't tell you a piece of software that ever has. Everyone has different needs and thats where customization comes in. Play around with the demo, its quality made software. If theres a bug found it's usually fixed in the next version or someone will find a quick fix for it. I've messed around with version 4.0 for about 50+ hours this week and its pretty solid stuff. I've tried other classifieds software, some good, some bad, but 68 classifieds beats them all down by far.
