Question Install on one domain multiple times?

I read in another thread about installing on a single domain....multiple times. Let me see if I understand this correctly.

So I have domain www.mydomain.com

I want to install this classified software for 3 different sites....on this one domain.

So the install would go into
www.mydomain.com/install_1
www.mydomain.com/install_2
www.mydomain.com/install_3

with the install areas being a different folder and directory.

Is this correct? Please advise. I want to make sure that I purchase the license under the correct domain. Thanks.

Yes that would work. Our licensing allows for more than one copy on the same domain.

One more question...when I do the install on my domain the first time. It says to enter license # and after install to delete setup files.

How will this affect the 2nd and 3rd install?

Will the other installs be in different directories?

Thanks...

It shouldn't affect it at all. Just use the same license key for the other installs.

Yes you will want to install each in its own directory. That way they do not conflict with each other.

Here is the reason for my questions...

Would it be less complex to do it the way I suggested above or this way?

The only issues that I have seen are with the administration. You would need to access it from yoursite.com/subdomain/administration instead of subdomain.yoursite.com/administration

I believe you are referring to this:

If so this is not the case any longer. Late last year we changed our billing and licensing system so it will work off sub domains or sub directories.

Question bought, installed, hash error, corrected error, but.....

Concerned about how the license key works with multiple installs on subdomains?

I bought, installed into a subdomain, hash error, corrected error.....

How will the several installs work if I change the key license to get rid of each hash error?

(Posted a detailed message earlier about this.)
