Default Hide Categories based on User Login ID

Hi,

I'm thinking of purchasing 68 Classifieds. I'm wondering if it is possible to hide categories from specific users during runtime? i.e. a user logs in and only sees Category1, SubCategory1, etc...but NOT Category2, Category3, etc. Meanwhile user 2 logs in and only sees Category3 for example.

Could this function be written as a module? or would the master source code need to be modified?

Do I require the standard or developer edition to 1)write and 2)apply modules?

Thanks.
Jason.

You can write modules for just about anything you want to do. In fact, there are already a couple of module hooks embedded in the category.php file so the core file's ready and waiting for your module

If you're wanting to write a module for 68 Classifeds, you'll definitely need the Developer's edition.
