Some presale questions...

Hi, here they are:

*) Which languages do I get when buying your software?
*) For switching languages, the feature list shows the information: 'The language can be switched by included links your template or by setting a default language'. Does this mean I can implement language-buttons for my customers and they can select their preferred language each time the visit the site?
*) Is there something like a preferred language which can be set by/for the user individually to avoid the language selection with each visit?
*) Here in the forum I read about the membership-functions being very buggy and about the new version 4 where these problems should be fixed. When will this new version be available? I am not interested to buy and set up the 'old' (buggy!!!) version now and soon after have to upgrade it to get everything working!
*) In case of buying the hosted-version, is it still possible for me to combine it with templates (e.g. the green business-template)?

Hi Martin,

1. Currently we have an english and french language files. If you wish to use a different language then you can translate into any language you would like.

2. Yes you can add language links to switch the language. Keep in mind that the actual listings will be in the language entered but the template will change to the desired language.

3. When they select a language a cookie is set so the next visit should read this and automatically have it set.

4. A new beta was released a few minutes ago and it will not be fully released until we are sure all the bugs are worked out.

5. Yes the hosted edition works just like any of the other editions. So you can install modules, templates, etc.

thanks - that all sounds good to me! Just to flesh out:

ad 3) Does the program the described cookie-handling (setting at the first visit and using it to decide about the language at the following visits) fully automated or do I have to configure the server/the software to get this working?

ad 4) Based on your experience: how long are usual periods between Betas like the one you released today and Final versions. Are we talking about days, weeks, months...?

I will say weeks or months. It really depends on bugs and issues found. That is really all I can say.
