Is there a mod out there that will ask the seller what their listing sold for once they mark it as sold and store it in the database so others can go back and see what things sold for? Oh and a sold date would be good... Or how hard would this be to have created?

Also...When listings are sold, is it completely deleted from the database or is just marked as sold? I would think not allowing the listing to be deleted would help in SEO.

..and another question. I thought there was a newsletter option that lets viewers sign up to receive email notifications of new listings pertaining to their specifications, but I don't see it...maybe there isnt? Is there a modification for this or how hard would it be to do?

GPM55,

I am not aware of any mod that will ask the seller what their listed item sold for. There are a couple of mods (I believe) that will mark an item as sold, but it is not part of the standard 68 classifieds product.

A listing is only deleted when you manually delete it, either the seller when logged in or from the admin. Although a listing isn't deleted from the database, expired listings do not show up anywhere except in the "browse my listings" in the sellers account menu or in the admin listings pages.

As far as the newsletter goes, that is a built in function that the user can opt-in during the registration process (Near the bottom of the registration form). You generate a newsletter from the admin.

Thanks, do you know where I can find the mod that marks it as sold? So the newsletter mod is just a regular newsleter and not a new listing updater.. I guess there isn't a mod out there for this? I havent seen anything.

I don't recall the thread that this was in.

Just try doing a search for it in these forums. It was most likely in the modifications section.
