Did 68 start out as an ecommerce templates program?

Nope-

We initially used an ecommercetemplates store for selling 68C (they have a great product, by the way). That's why that page is there. It's basically just a more detailed version of a "live sites" example. It's a testimonial page.

We now use their script for our 68mods store.

EcommerceTemplates is an awesome script and it has a lot of great features or current system is missing but it doesn't include any way to license a product.

Ah, cool! Well why not modify 68 to accomidate this then use your classified software to sell your license? Maybe that'd be over kill though. Probably.
