Default Pre-purchase questions

Hi, this looks like just the script I want but need to check out a couple of things.

1. When a member wants to place an ad but hasn't got a Paypal account is it possible to show a page after they have built their ad that allows them to choose another option? ie. send in a cheque etc.
2. Is it possible to set the number of featured and new ads that will display on the home page.
3. I like the "Horse green" template. Is it flexible? ie. If the number of featured ads is more than the 4 shown in the demo will the template expand down to accommodate extra ads or does it page?
4. Similar to 3 above, if a larger thumbnail is required, say 200px will the template allow this?
5. I haven't been able to look at the "Seller store" module, is there a site you can recommend where it's working?

Thanks

The user can chose from what ever payment options you have defined as usable. So, if you have paypal defined as a valid payment option and also check via snail mail then the person placing the ad will be able to chose which method they would like to use. If they use paypal the ad will immediatly be visible to the public (unless you have system set for manual approval of course). If they chose to pay by check you will need to go in and make the ad available once you get payment.

Yes. This is done by opening the template file and just changing the number specified in the function that displays the featured ads.

Im not familiar with that particular template so will have to leave this question to someone more qualified to answer.

In the admin side of the site you can specify the size of the large images as well as the thumbnails.

Im not sure who here is making use of the module but in a nutshell what this module does is it allows people to have a single photo associated with their "account" and they can add text describing their "store" as well. When you chose to "view all ads from seller" for example the "user store" image and text will appear above the table containing all of their listings where as when the user store mod is not in use you just see a table with all the ad posters ads.

Thanks for the info.

Is the above (changing the template) available in the design version or the dev version. I'm a little confused as to what you can do with the 2 versions.

The difference between the designer version and the developer version is what you have access to.

In the designer version you have full access to the template files which control most of the sites layout and look and for the most part are just html files. With this version the actual PHP script files are encoded so you can not modify or edit them.

The developer edition gives you access to the templates but also the actual script files so if you are familiar with php you can make more drastic customizations to the script.
